PERKS OF A PRIVATE YOGA LESSON

Practicing yoga in a group setting is wonderful and participating in a private yoga lesson can benefit your practice too! Whether you are a newbie, needing rehabilitation from an injury, or just wanting to take your practice to another level, we have a handful of experienced yoga teachers that can guide you.

  • Individual attention. You might have health limitations or are recovering from illness or injury, or you have specific health and fitness needs and goals. In a group class, teachers might ask what students want to work on, but the content of the class is generalized. In a private setting, there is student/teacher feedback, and the class tailored to you. Whether you want to work on particular poses, refining your alignment, meditation, breathing or relaxation, a private lesson can help you see positive changes more quickly than if you are in a large group class.  Teachers will also prepare a lesson plan for you to practice at home.
  • Boost confidence and self-esteem. As a newbie or seasoned yogi, it can be intimidating and scary to attend a group yoga class. You don’t know anyone, you might be afraid of you look or you are not familiar with any of the poses or yoga etiquette. All these valid concerns can be addressed. In an individual setting, you can feel comfortable about moving safely at your own pace, ask questions and receive personal attention on how to adapt poses to your body, learn the poses commonly taught in typical class, and feel more comfortable about attending a group class.
  • Practice at a time & place convenient for you.  Let’s face it, we do not have a lot of free time and our schedules can vary. A private lesson can be done off hours at the studio (early morning, mid-morning through early afternoon, and weekends) or we can come to your home or office if that works better for you. We could Skype or Facetime if you can’t leave your home too!

We can match you with an experienced teacher based on your intentions for your yoga practice if he or she is available.  If you have a small group of individuals with a particular intention in mind, we offer a class at $100 per hour for 2-4 people.
